Eww, yuck, a striker fired gun.
I love HK handguns (I have 7), but I dislike striker fired guns. If it does not have a hammer on it, I do not want it.
I would much rather they have showed the P30 some love with new models and a threaded barrel from the factory. (yes you can buy a threaded barrel, but you can not get one from the factory).
My EDC is a P30SK and I absolutely love it. Fits my hand like a glove, shoots wonderfully, and is very accurate for its size.

Not at that price point. Even I would rather pocket the $400 and just put up with that nasty grip angle.

Now if HK sold it for the same price as a Glock? They'd eat Gaston's lunch.
Your Sig p365 of some flavor was among the numerous pistols I was invited to shoot a week or so ago. I still think it is a weird little gun but I like it better than the Gluger.

I get Glocks cheap, often for free...but I'd pay more for the Glock (as opposed to the HK).

Serious question, am I supposed to think that HK is a "good looking" gun?
I've been thinking how to answer this by describing real life women around me who I find incredibly attractive and who are totally different in their faces, bodies, and demeanors but I'm failing to find the words.
Yes, you're supposed to think that HK is a good looking gun because it is. Glocks look great too.

I think p365 is a great shooter.

Shame- the Vp9sk is a great pistol.
I always thought it was too tall for a subcompact.

I don’t know- you are right folk all want to call it a sub compact and fall over themselves to explain away how it’s larger than one lol.

It is a solid compact gun which honestly shoots like a full size.
I have absolute confidence in these and find them easy to shoot well.
I shoot with the pinky do dad on the mags but this is the gun with flush magazine.
Great guns.
Among my favorite’s.

These are much larger guns than say the p365 and shoot like they are.

Has there ever been a good looking polymer gun?
They are all boxy and ugly.

Kygunco got me for one of their factory blem HK P30s that had a few days back. It's a 17 round 9mm that has a barrel less than 4", but some of the leather cookie cutter holsters that fit it from the likes of Galco also fit a 4" XD .45. It seems that not only are the ugly, but they are oversized for a 9mm.

Some are, but some are not. Besides, polymer handguns are for utility purposes and that is where they leave older metal handguns in the dust for reliabilty and durability. But then again, you knew that. :)

I don’t feel the love. It’s still a wimpy gun when compared to the mighty USP.
I like the way you think. I'm a 1911 diehard, don't like plastic and have no use for striker systems, but broke down and bought a USP45T...friggin love it to the point I'll carry it if I have to go to high crime cities since it feels lighter with 1 spare over a 1911 with 2 spares to match capacity. It feels like a 9 instead of a 45 and the match trigger is better than some 1911s I've had to fix.

I did not know which way to take this thread further. One direction could've been to invite @Archer, @Boge, @fnfalman, @Hammer67, and @trbnt (I hope you all appreciate my effort for alphabetical listing) to form a task force on gun sizes definition. So we can submit it to Merriam Webster. The second option was to keep talking about this gen 2 VP9s, for example, how meh the new basepads fit vs gen 1 VP9

Instead, I'd just say this: after playing for 10 min with VP9 and VP9-B at my LGS today, I really hope that A1s do have button versions.

The only thing I don't like about the VP9 is the mind numbingly complex receiver total disassembly for deep/cleaning parts replacement. You almost have to have a Wernher von Braun level of engineering intelligence to do it!
