Keep in mind it will NOT be stamped "Nighthawk" like the limited run of factory models. It will look and function the same, but will not have the collectibility of the factory offerings.

The upside is, you can configure it any way you want ( accoutrements, finish, etc.). But if I were going to have a BHP customized, Id go with a company the will actually stamp their logo on it...like Novak.

the beavertail they do on the BHP is ridiculous, one can see it from the next county.

 

Thanks guys. I did contact NH. The price was like $2500 for build. So that is an option.

 

When I picked up my 69 T, the gun shop had one of those $3k+ Hi Powers so I compared each one to the other.
The trigger on my T was significantly better, even with the mag safety feature still installed! I wasn't very impressed, needless to say.

years ago I was going to have my HP worked on, and the shop owner refused to work on it claiming it was too nice of a BHP, I'm thinking I dated to 1968, it was unfired when I bought it, great trigger even with the mag safety on, feeds HPs and it was NOT one of those in Made in Belgium and assemble in Portugal, has a great bluing also, I have to do some research on it.

 

Was the 2,500 quote with the ski slope beavertail or not? If you do not get the BT I believe you can save 300 and would recommend the Cylinder and Slide No Bite Hammer

 

What is the "FPS" ? (sorry I have to ask)

Call Novaks and ask for Mike or Titus. They are first rate. They also have some of their Hi Powers for sale on their website, I recently picked up a 40 Conversion to 9mm and a "carry beavertail" model whch is close to a 1911 and really done well.
