It is possible to get a much smoother and lighter trigger on the Sig P938

This is one average of fifteen pulls.
Also shot over 150 rounds of Federal bulk 115gr FMJ today with NO failures at all

No offense, but I'm skeptical, so could you please elaborate? I'm sure we'd all like to know what you've come up with.
Thanks,

OK,

No gunsmith was harmed or paid in this exercise

Trigger Pull: Brand new, unfired: 8.2lbs
Trigger felt gritty and long, makes clunking noises on reset.

Changes made to reach this point in the order done:

Cleaned the frame and all parts with brake clean to remove and oil products. (NC)
Applied Frog Lube to the entire frame and all internal parts (NC)
Polished all contact points in the hammer and sear (NC)
Polished the entire trigger bow (NC)

-----At this point the pull was averaging about 7.2 lbs--------------

Replaced the plastic trigger with a custom SS trigger ($40.00)
Slightly changed the pull of the sear spring leaf (NC)
Replaced the main spring with a Wolff Reduced Power 20lb spring for a Colt Mustang ($4.19)
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/37.../376047/wolff-hammer-spring-colt-380-government-and-mustang-20-lb-reduced-power

------At this point the pull was averaging about 4.3 lbs---------------

I suspect the greatest change was from the changing of the mainspring

Have shot over 600 rounds of 115gr FMJ since purchased

No recommendation is made about what you should do with your gun

No warranty or promise is made about what similar changes to your gun may result in.

To verify I would need to swap the stock spring back in and test again which I will do at the next cleaning. It was a bit odd as I tried this spring on my 238 last year and the result was that the average trigger pull went up about 1.5 lb so I removed it and tossed it in the parts drawer.

Yes the trigger was a 238 SS from partsproduction

It is not a 3.5 lb trigger, it is a 4.3lb.
But the trigger pull always varies.
And I do shoot it a lot, over 650 rounds in a month so far, which is the only way I know to get and keep accurate with any gun.
If I start getting failures I can always swap the stock hammer spring back in.

If anyone is interested in these CNC Stainless Steel triggers for the P238 or P938
For the record, we are currently out of stock on both triggers and MSH's. Trigger production is supposed to resume Monday, but the batch is for 1000 pcs and therefore will take some time. Those emailing me are to be notified when we have triggers available again. Black triggers will take an extra 3-5 weeks. Please don't send any money until notified.
Thanks,

Not interchangeable with a 1911 but most of it is the same as a colt mustang
I didn't notice much of a difference when I swapped out the hammer spring most of the drop came from slightly unbending the mainspring and polishing all the internals. I got mine down to an average of 4.1 lbs with no failures yet.
