Hey Gents, perhaps you can help me out.

I've had this Series 2 stoning fixture for a year or so and haven't bothered to try it out. I'm so used to doing 1911's with other fixtures I just haven't bothered.

But I have the universal adapter to do other guns and I really have no idea how to set the thing up since there are no instructions included. Does anyone have a set of instructions, or something on the web they can point me too?

I don't think I'll use this for 1911's but I may use it for other guns. It's a shame to have it collecting dust, might as well put it to use.

Power will send you the instructions, but they're pretty poor. Great tool designer and gunsmith, but he need to hire someone to write the instructions. Here's a link to one guy's instructions for setting up to do a Mini.

Maybe you can intuit something from that for your purposes at least to get started. And the Series 2 is useless for the 1911. The Series 1 is the one for that. Great tool for the job, but I've moved on to the Warner TR jig for all my 1911 jobs now.

Here's another link showing a setup for a Ruger single action - http://www.castbullet.com/misc/accrsa.htm

So I figured how to stone a 1911 hammer, it works pretty well for that. If you want to change the sear angle (not sure why anyone would want to do anything but 90 degrees), it's damn near ideal. And I can see how this would work for a lot of different hammers. But for the life of me, I can't figure out how you'd stone sears on this thing. I mean the description in Brownells said it would do sears, but I'll be darned if I can figure out how. I'm sure I could make my own adapters to do sears, but that kinda defeats the idea of an off the shelf solution.

As for the Warner, yeah I think I'm going to pull the trigger on that one; looks like a good idea.
