Push the mag catch in while turning the screw. The screw will turn into it's catch notch and the release should fall out. Hold the mag catch and turn the screw out of it's notch and ease it out. swap the spring and replace in reverse order.

 

You just have to remove the catch itself . Remove the lock and spring and replace.

 

Brownell's only sells them by the 10 pack? Anyone have an extra ONE they want to sell?

 

There are some single mag release springs at Brownells. The search feature of their website is frustrating at times. When you get to the page with mag release springs, try setting the filter to the least expensive choices.

I liked the Dawson Video so much I've actually ordered their extended Mag Release along with their lightened springs. I'll update the forum with how they look and work after I have received and installed them. Thanks to everyone for all the leads.
