Hey Guys,

Does anyone have experience with the either the Ritchier Leather Hideaway or Stakeout holster? They both look great, but I can't decide which would be more concealable for a full size grip 1911. The Hideaway has the dual belt loops like the Sparks VM2, etc. which I like to spread out the weight, but the cant is only 10 degrees. The Stakeout is similar to the Sparks SS2 and takes up less real estate in the pants. It has a 15 degree cant. I just wonder about the loops being on top of the holster and if that would be a detriment to concealability. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

I had their Hideaway for an HK P30. It was a big slab of leather and fairly thick, especially for the polymer gun. I didn't like that system, I sold the holster.

I have the Stakeout for my M&P Shield. I like it a lot. Have it for 7 years and it's my go to holster for the Shield. It's not quite similar to the Sparks SS2. The Stakeout does NOT have a reinforced mouth, the holster body itself is wider. It's more similar to the Sparks Executive Special without the reinforced opening.

I have the original Alessi PCH that Lou Alessi designed maybe 15 years ago. It is the holster that Ritchie used to make the Stakeout. My PCH is for the full size 1911, it is very comfortable.
