My 1911 I am building is a Rock Island frame with Wilson Combat Beavertail grip safety, Wilson Combat Hammer, and Brownells A1 Mainspring housing. The rest is standard GI.
When I grip the frame properly and depress the grip safety, squeezing the trigger does not release the sear and the hammer does not move. If, I keep the palm of my hand away from the grip safety, squeeze the trigger, and then depress the grip safety, the sear releases and the hammer moves. I checked the mainspring and the profile is the same as another new on in another build kit.
Any ideas? This 1911 is not my first build.
