Have an opportunity to pick up a Staccato C, single stack in 9mm. I have ZERO experience with Staccatos, and don't want the bulk of a double stack 2011 for an EDC. Saw the single stack, and was interested.

How is the quality/reliability of Staccato C's?

Worth the coin?

Mine has 5k+ rounds on it and has run near flawlessly. The DLC coating still looks very good even with over 1k holster draws. I had a sear spring finger break, odd I guess, but Staccato fixed it and paid for shipping. Seems like a fluke, but they made it right.

The recoil is virtually non-existent, I guess due to a combination of the polymer grip and dual recoil spring. It’s really a nice shooter and super accurate.

I would highly recommend the OG C!

I got mine years ago and the first one I got had loads of problems at the range during the first outing. I took pictures of the failures to feed and stove pipes. I walked outside of the range and forwarded the pictures to staccato. Within 15 minutes they gave me a return label And quickly replaced the pistol for me. The new one has been literally perfect and the comment above about minimal recoil is accurate.

I have always wanted one, but never found one in the wild. I have only heard good things about them. I almost bought one when they came out but the low 9mm capacity kept keeping me from it, but what is dumb is I carry a 1911 45acp all the time, lol.

Bottom line, don't over think it.

The Alpha Foxtrot 1911-S15 is a double stack 9mm 1911 that is slimmer than a single stack 1911.

I have one. It measures 1.07" across the frame in the grip area. My single stacks measure around 1.25" across. Being so slim and being a solid frame, rather than a frame with grips added, the sides of the grip area do not contribute much to traction for controlling recoil. But, the S15 has really good checkering on the front and back straps, which makes it very easy for me to control recoil. It is very pleasant to shoot for a gun in that size category.

The 1911-S15 uses magazines from Shield Arms that they make and sell for the Glock G43X/48.

DLC coated slide. Alloy frame. Optics ready. Threaded barrel option (so, 3.5" barrel or 4.25" with threaded portion). Rail.

Mine has been flawless and stepped up to be my EDC a few months ago. The trigger was a bit heavy when new but has broken in to be pretty much perfect for ME for EDC. Right at or just under 4# on my digital pull gauge.

If you want a 1911-style carry gun without the bulk of a 2011, check out Alpha Foxtrot.

I am done buying single stacks. There are too many solid double stack options available now, for every application. No longer any need to compromise on capacity.
