Take out the forward set screw that secures the sight. Then you have to knock the rear sight out of the dovetail. The screw that holds the plate on is now accessible. Not sure you have to remove the rear sight to back the main screw out, but mine was tight as snot and having not done it before, I was not sure I wasn't breaking something with the rear sight still on. I have a brand new Staccato C2 DUO (Tactical) and have installed a Trijicon RMR. The factory DUO plate, same as a new P DUO, is removed by unscrewing the hex set screw “in” the rear sight, not the one in front of the rear sight. There is no need to remove the rear sight to do this.

Is this the fourth or fifth optic plate design for STI/Staccato? These guys change their products more often than a ******* changes their underwear.

They're both on the rear sight. The rearmost being literally down in the sight.

Just got my brand new STI Staccato P Duo setup for red dot. I got everything out including the install kit but went to remove the cover plate and rear sight, but have no idea how to do this. There are no screws on top, underneath anywhere I can see to pull this plate. Any ideas?

Thanks
