Doesn't Baer offer an option for a presentation/display case? it's like a $295 option.

 

Haven't looked for display case - the TR pistol case I'm looking for is a range bag either in OD green or brown. I read someplace they were originally made for S&W TR special edition revolver however they are not listed on S&W website. Hoping someone may have some for sale.

 

Put a WTB ad in the Want To Buy section. I found one that sold in June on this forum.

 

Try calling thunder ranch. It's a tactical tailor gun rug with their logo. I got one direct from them maybe 10 years ago.

That's were I bought mine about 5 months ago and they only had a couple left. Nice bag!!!

 

I had a really nice case made for my TRS. It's leather with a bit of shark skin, and has slots cut in for my belt


these are working guns. no need to baby them. shoot them, wear them, try to wear them out.

 

Thanks for all the tips. I did place a WTB ad on this forum and did contact Thunder Ranch who quickly replied they don't sell these range bags anymore. I did go onto the "lastusbag" and did not observe anything there however I will call them tomorrow. Thanks again!

 

Update - I did call "lastusbag" just now and they no longer have any TR range bags or any type of gun rug for that matter. Still looking ( :

the guy that runs the Les Baer Facebook page seems to sell some pistol bags once in a while. maybe check that out?

Ill keep an eye out at our gun show in October. I saw a loose case at least once when I was searching for my 22-4.

Edit: S&W still makes the 325 TR Special revolver. It might be worth a call to their customer service and see if they will sell you a "replacement" for your rug.

 

TR rug update - checked Les Baer and they do not sell rugs/cases. A few days ago I posted a WTB ad on the S&W forum for the TR case. So far no response. I also emailed S&W inquiring about a TR case - they don't carry them. Thanks for looking at your upcoming gun show!

 

Did you do a forum search because this topic has come up before. The company who made them had an odd name. I have the green one and I just checked it. No label, of course !
As I recall, they were never offered by Les Baer. Anyhow, the company no longer makes them. The last time we had this discussion, the poster found the company and they had a couple lying around and he bought one. Might have been Mlg above .

 

You can always get a pistol case you like then go to the thunder ranch website and purchase one of the patches and pay someone to sew it on.

Just did a Google search and found my own post from back in March. The company is
www.gotegear.com. They no longer make or offer them .

 

That's odd. Just tried to open that website and It goes to the www.lastusbag website and then says it's not available. Maybe they changed their name before going out of business ? The site was working back in March.
Others such as Boyt make similar bags. Someone could embroider the Thunder Ranch logo on one and you'd have pretty much the same thing.

 

Sorry for all the confusion. When you go to gotegear.com on my browser it goes to lastusbag.com and says they can't find such a site. When you go to the lastusbag.com site directly, it opens up and that is apparently gote gear's new name. They even have a Gote Gear logo on their site.

 

Thanks again for the responses. It appears unlikely at this time that I'm going to locate an original TR rug. Per one of the comments I checked out the TR website and they do sell sew on patches. Plan B is to purchase a couple of these patches and have someone sew them on a case I currently have.

 

Patches aren't bad looking.
I've got two genuine Les baer bags. Only 2 made, very rare. :rofl:

New TR Baer Received

Well I just received my new TR Baer and REALLY like it. I've shot maybe 125 rounds or so through it and it's a joy to shoot. It will be a great companion to my Dan Wesson Valor!
