I like the Tisas Match 1911. I wish I’d have bought one before they discontinued them. Local shop had one last time I was in there. I’ll be back there next week and if it’s still there I may buy it.

On my Stakeout my front sight is staked in place, but your Stakeout has a dovetail cut front sight. Did it come that way or did you have it replaced for some reason?

That is how it came to me and the pistol pictured in this Guns.com review also has a dovetail front sight.

The early Stakeouts had staked front sights, later versions had the dovetail. I have one of each .

That magwell really sets that D10 off. Is it off one of the Tisas Match 1911’s?

I ordered it from Tisas several years ago, I think it is the same version used on the match pistols. Sadly, it has been discontinued.

It has. I tried to order one. Bought a Stan Chen instead. I believe some fitting is required however and I’m actually considering installing it on my Kimber Custom II.

Picked up this Tisas Tank Commander not too long ago. Haven't shot it yet, but looking forward to it. Has an amazing trigger-pull, crisp and clean, but a bit heavy at a measured 6 pounds. It is such a good pull and clean break though that you don't even notice it.
