Funny I see a few posts about the ineffectiveness of "arf boycotts" but what these posters don't realize is how fast this kind of thing spreads...You'd think it would be more clear after the ESOS debacle.

 

He maybe qualified but imo all feds involved in Ruby Ridge should of been indicated for their actions yes Randy Weaver did cut a shotgun barrel but that doesn't excuse the actions of the government

Weaver cut the shotgun barrel only at the request of the informant; he was never convicted of it, as the jury thought he was entrapped.

 

I met Randy Weaver once (after the events at RR). He seemed like a low key, quiet man. The real problem it seems to me is all these paramilitary federal pseudo police forces that over react and over step.

 

I met him too some 25 or 30 years ago at a gun show. I felt the whole situation was just pathetic and didn't know what to say to the man. I just shook his hand and told him that he and his family would be in my prayers that night. They will be again tonight as well our country.

 

This makes Dick's and Cheaper Than Dirt look good by comparison.

 

Took the words right out of my mouth. I've never bought anything from Troy Industries, and now it looks like I never will as they'll be at the top of my "won't buy from" list until the company folds or I take my last breath.

What did Dale Monroe do at Ruby Ridge?

As far as I recall it was a USMS recon that failed. The USMS messed up, they called in support, and the FBI commanders gave a piss poor ROE with full support. Lon Horiuchi went above and beyond the ROE. Most agents there were doing their job, even questioning a refusing to follow orders. USMS messed up, FBI leadership and Horiuchi messed up. I dont know off hand what Dale Monroe did.

 

The whole episode from the beginning was a travesty. Basically Dale said in court if Lon hadn't fired the shot(s) he would have. He testified it was a good shoot given the ROE.

 

I seldom post. This one I can't ignore. I just bought a CRE-18GT. I am in need of back up sights. They will not be from Troy. I will never buy anything from them again.

Anyone who hires one of the snipers from Ruby Ridge deserve nothing but my contempt! Learn from their mistakes my a_s. I would of refused such an order.

 

I attended a class taught by a guy named Greg Williams who talked a lot about ruby ridge and the Feds really screwed things up. It's a very tragic thing that happened and I will never buy anything from Troy Ind. ring deployed 3 times to the Middle East I have had to make calls that involved shooting or not shooting. And if there were a chance that I knew civilians could be harmed guess what we dident fire. I get very aggravated over "accidental shootings" that's JV level training performance. I'm sorry really no point to make but I will never buy Troy products...

I've never bought a Troy product and never will after reading this. IMHO, responsibility for the mess at Ruby Ridge should have gone right to the top - to Reno and Clinton.

 

Umm, I hate to sound like Obama but that would have been Bush (H W) in office with Barr as his A G. Although the actual court proceedings following the incident may have happened during the Clinton administration.

 

Not buying Troy stuff ever again. To me the now are as big a supporter of Human rights and rule of law as red China.

Didn't Lon sponsor, or rather was a spokesman for H&S Precission stocks. I think I remember seeing it here with the same fanfare.

 

Years ago Lon H was tied to them as Rep. Iirc he was part of their Team. Was on few covers and wrote some articals. This was 10 years ago maybe.

 

There stuff is expensive anyways.

 

I remember talking to my Dad a short while after RR. He said the FBI should have killed them all.

Remember how we got the news on this. As far as what I heard, during the siege, this guy was wanted for a felony, had bunkered up, was anti-American, a racist, a nutjob and was a blight on the face of the country. Most folks still believe what they heard then.
It's amazing how the MSM controls us.
And when the truth comes out later, it's too late for most folks to be outraged or even care.
