USPSA/IPSC Production rules...

Just wanting to understand, so forgive my ignorance, I'm new to USPSA:
Question: What is the round maximum per magazine for Production division? IPSC/USPSA website says, "Maximum ammunition capacity--NO." Does that mean I can load up my 15 round mags to the hilt? (shooting a Glock 19) I've seen some references that you can only load 10 rounds.
Also: What are the rules for mag exchanges, if any? I just watched some videos showing shooters dropping their mags after just like 6 shots to reload while on the move. Obviously they're probably dropping a partially loaded magazine--is that acceptable?

It is true that USPSA Production will only permit 10 rounds in the mag at the start. However, you can also have one in the chamber when the gun is in its holstered and loaded condition. The easy way to do this is to load 11 rounds in your first mag but 10 in all the others.

In the event that the COF dictates that you start with an unloaded gun, you can only put 10 rounds in the first and all subsequent mags.

One advantage to using high capacity mags is with some of the 10 round only mags the last round loaded in the magazine is really tight so when you go to do a speed reload you have to really slap it in hard. With any mag beyond 10 rounds there will be less force need to reload the mag in the pistol.
