Good thing you didn't ask for 9X19 or 9mm Parabellum. Seriously, just because you happen to know more about ammo than the minimum wage kid behind the counter shouldn't surprise you. Just leave it there for the next buyer if you don't like the service, but you could educate the guy as Snorkel noted. In these troubled times, if you find it, buy it.

Had an appointment in the next town over earlier, so I stopped in at Dunham's Sports, I make my way to the guns/ammo section and the guy asks if I am looking for something in particular...I say .45 ACP, he says "we are all out of that, but we have some handgun ammo in the counter" I look and spot 1 box Hornady Zombie Max. I was like, here is some...The shocker was his response: " That says .45 Auto, is that the same as what you need?":confused::hrm::scratch:
Did you buy it?

I don't expect store clerks to know much of anything at all about anything firearm related. A few days ago I was in the local WM. Went by the ammo counter, inquired about 9MM ammo, lady told me they had none. I saw a green and yellow box on the shelf that appeared to be a 50 round box of some version of Remington 9MM ammo. I mentioned it to the lady. She said it was a 20 round box of revolver ammo. I asked to see it. It was a 50 round box of Remington 115 9MM JHP. She said she thought it was only for a revolver because it said - express pistol and "revolver"- on the box. Don't know how she came of with the 20 rd. part though. Anyway, not annoyed at the nice lady, just the way it is...
